If you dont have OS10, you wont have AirPlay support with your 3800, and even if you do, AirPlay support may roll out with a later build of OS10 than what you may currently have, so you may have to wait (this is what happened with 9.4 - the initial builds did not have AirPlay support, later builds did). That's how I used it at my parents' house, I selected screen mirroring on my iPad and the roku popped up, and I selected roku and it mirrored to their screen.
